Melt Pressure Transducer Calibration
If possible, your transducer should be calibrated regularly: every six months or annually. This should be done by MPS or another qualified calibration facility.
When a transducer is sent from MPS, the user receives a certificate that records three parameters as shown:
Value to Parameter
Zero 0.1mV / V
Full Scale 3.33mV / V
RCal (80%) 2.66mV / V
To account for different device supply voltages, the data is provided in mV / V format. This can be used to assist in calibrating the device.
Transmitter Calibration
If possible, your transmitter should be calibrated regularly: every six months or annually. Calibration should be done by MPS or another qualified calibration facility.
A 10-point calibration can be done by the MPS to produce a very precise curve that can improve system accuracy.
