Pipe Extruder Pressure Sensor
In pipe extruders, pressure sensors are used to measure and control the pressure of the plastic melt inside the machine. These sensors are placed to ensure process stability during production, increase product quality and ensure safety. The data provided by the sensors helps to correctly adjust the extruder speed, temperature and other process parameters.
The main functions of these sensors are:
-
Pressure Monitoring: It allows the process to be controlled by measuring the pressure in the plastic melt passage.
-
Data Feedback: It allows automatic adjustment of the machines by continuously sending pressure data to the control system.
-
Overpressure Protection: It prevents damage to the machine and equipment by giving an alarm in case of overpressure.
-
Energy Efficiency: Energy efficiency is achieved by regulating the pressure, and unnecessary energy consumption is prevented.
These sensors are based on piezoelectric or strain gauge principles in particular and must be calibrated regularly to obtain accurate results.
