Mounting Location Selection: The location where the sensor will be mounted should be selected depending on the properties of the liquid or gas to be measured and the requirements of the application. The mounting location should be as far as possible from vibrations and external factors that may affect the accuracy of the measurement.
Preparatory Work: It is important that the surface on which the sensor will be mounted is clean and smooth. If necessary, any dirt, oil or rust should be removed from the mounting surface.
Sensor Connections: Melt pressure sensors usually have mounting flange or connection points. To mount the sensor, position it against the mounting flange or mounting adapter using the sensor's connections.
Securing the Sensor: Use the appropriate bolts or screws to secure the sensor to the mounting flange or adapter. In this step, you may need to tighten the bolts to a certain torque value; This must comply with the sensor manufacturer's instructions.
Connections and Electrical Connections: Properly connect the flow channels or ports of the sensor. Then, make the electrical connections of the sensor. These connections are usually made via terminal blocks located on the back or side of the sensor.
Testing and Calibration: After installing the sensor, perform a test to verify that it is working properly and its measurements are accurate. If necessary, calibrate the sensor and ensure that it is compatible with the meter or control system.
Installing a Protective Cover or Case: After completing the installation of the sensor, install a protective cover or case if necessary. This protects the sensor against external factors and ensures long-lasting use.
