Melt Pressure Transducer
The melt pressure transducer is also a sensor used to measure the pressure of the molten plastic material. This transducer usually uses a mechanical structure such as a rod or diaphragm to measure pressure and converts pressure changes in this structure into electrical signals.
Melt pressure transducers are used in injection molding and extrusion processes. These sensors continuously measure the pressure of the molten material and convert these measurements into analog or digital signals, making them workable by process control systems.
Transducers can prevent molding or extrusion failure by stopping the injection process in case of overpressure. They can also control the flow of material in low or high viscosity states depending on the material temperature.
Melt pressure transducers are especially used in high precision industrial processes such as polymer manufacturing plants, petrochemical industry and food processing industry. The correct operation of these sensors ensures the production of quality products and increases production efficiency by preventing process error.
